Overview

Welcome to the Collective Vision Toolkit. This resource is designed to help presbyteries facilitate a shared process of discernment around church planting and regional mission.

Rather than creating a top-down strategy, this toolkit helps presbyteries invite churches into conversation, prayer, and collaboration, so that goals are co-created in partnership with one another, reflecting both the diversity and unity of the body.

This Process

This page is designed to guide you step by step through each phase of the toolkit, with all the content organized into clear sections for easy navigation.

Why this Toolkit Exists:

Church planting can feel overwhelming, especially when a presbytery is unsure where to begin. This toolkit is meant to provide a practical starting point.

ECO genuinely believes that each local church has what it needs to pursue the mission God has given it. At the same time, presbyteries play a unique role in helping churches listen to one another, identify shared priorities, and coordinate mission across a region.

The Design

This process is designed to help presbyteries:

Identify strategic locations for future church planting

Understand how churches want to participate

Clarify shared priorities

Establish measurable goals together.

Church Participation

Participation is voluntary throughout the process. Some churches may feel called to lead, others to support financially or relationally, and others simply to learn more. The goal is not uniformity, but shared clarity and collaborative mission.

As churches respond, the presbytery gathers those insights and reflects back emerging themes, opportunities, and commitments. The result is a clearer picture of where God may be leading the presbytery and a practical framework for moving forward together.
